What Is Microcurrent?
Microcurrent Technology uses low-level electricity that mirrors the body’s own natural electrical impulses. In comparison to normal household current, measured in amperes (amps), Microcurrent is measured in Micro Amps, millionths of an ampere. Our microcurrent treatments use in range from 20 to 500 Micro Amps in procedures that enable the tightening and toning of the skin and muscles in the treatment area to provide a youthful look. When used in conjunction with specialized products and manual manipulations, the tiny micro-current impulses encourage your body’s currents at a cellular level, helping to increase ATP (energy to cells) and collagen production.
Utilizing a mask, probes or electric gloves, the clinician can lengthen or shorten muscles via a series of contouring movements creating a toner, tighter, more youthful appearance. Results are typically visible after the first treatment. The procedure also allows the beneficial ingredients to penetrate below the surface of the skin to enhance their effectiveness. Is Microcurrent technology the same as Galvanic technology?
No. Microcurrent works with the muscles of the body to stimulate and tone. Microcurrent is also known to increase collagen, elastin, circulation, ATP and product penetration. What Should I Expect?
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The benefits are cumulative and typically are performed in a series to gain maximum results. Depending on your goal we may recommend a series of 3, 5 or 10 sessions. Treatments are typically once or twice per week.
After a robust series of treatments you can receive treatments with longer intervals between each visit. Smokers and persons with a lot of sun damage may require double the number of sessions. Younger clients require much less and often treat to be proactive.
A single session in preparation for a special event is possible. Results from one treatment should last approximately 48-72 hours.
