What is Laser Rejuvenation?
Laser Rejuvenation, facial or other skin resurfacing, is a procedure that removes the upper layers of the skin using a Laser. A Laser Facial is one of our popular rejuvenation procedures. It is an effective treatment for the face reducing fine wrinkles, sun damage, enlarged pores, uneven pigmentation, feckles or mild scarring as well as redness and dilated capillaries associated with Rosacea. It can improve the appearance of skin without the need for full cosmestic surgery. It can also tighten skin and improve the skin of those with chicken pox scars or acne. This procedure is also great for age spots and is often used to treat the neck, chest and hands.
How do Lasers rejuvenate the skin?
The laser electively delivers amplified pulses of light to the dermis (deepest layer of the skin), which causes injury, followed by subsequent repair and stimulation of collagen for skin tightening and toning. Since the epidermis (top layer of the skin) is rarely damaged by this treatment, there are no visible signs that the skin is being rejuvenated. Any signs of aging in the skin is gently removed.

What Laser Rejuvenation will not do?
Laser rejuvenation treatments will NOT make a 47 year old skin look like a 20 year old, but it might make a 47 year old skin look like 35 or 40. Erasing even a few years can be a nice improvement and there is nothing as simple as this that can claim these results. The treatments will improve superficial acne scars, skin texture, pore size, fine wrinkles, blood vessels, red blotches and some pigmentations due to chronic sun damage. It will not remove deep wrinkles, sagging skin, moderate to deep acne scars. Good improvement would be about 25%, outstanding improvement would be 50%. Results vary from individual to individual and so the degree of improvement cannot be guaranteed.
How many Laser Rejuvenation treatments will I need?
It is recommended that you have a full series of treatments, but improvement will even happen with one treatment. For best results, a series of 3 to 6 treatment sessions spaced approximately four weeks apart is key. Each treatment takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
