 Infrared Body Wrap

What is the Infrared Body Wrap?

The Infrared Body Wrap generates heat together with a far infrared therapy function. This allows the body to burn between 900 – 1400 calories when the temperature reaches 110 degrees farenheit. The far infrared works from the deep fat layers to the superficial (dermis) layer. The energy penetrates 1.5 to 3 inches deep into the muscles and skin, dissolves fat to achieve inch and weight loss, helping to slenderize your body slim and at the same time beautify your skin and relieve stress.

When we accumulate body fat anywhere in the body, blood circulation becomes worse. As we accumulate more and more body fat, our circulation decreases even more. Because of a lack of blood circulation, we cannot metabolize or burn the excess body fat. This result is what we call “cold spots”. When we take away the heat from that area of your body and it cools, the fat then turns from subcutaneous fat into cellulite..

Subcutaneous fat is very soft and easy to lose. Cellulite is almost like hard muscle that is hardened from the lack of blood circulation. The body wrap applies heat to the body to get underneath the fat tissue and thin the blood to allow it to get into the areas where fat tissue exists. Bringing the blood into the areas that have had restricted blood flow causes the metabolism rates to rise. The heat softens the fat tissue and it begins to break up causing it to be burned up as energy. The Infrared Body Wrap reverses this process by breaking the fat down into calories and placing them back into the blood stream to be used as energy.

The Infrared heat has come to be known as the treatment with many benefits. It has been used in hospitals, chiropractic centers, and by sports therapists.

The great thing about infrared heat is that it is able to penetrate the body and go directly to the bone. When you damage a muscle, the heat goes right to the bone and promotes blood circulation which helps alleviate the pain. In addition, pain such as arthritis is relieved. The infrared Body Wrap warms the body from the inside out.

It takes approximately 20 minutes for the heat to penetrate the skin and upper layers before it reaches the bone. During the remaining 25 minutes of the session, the heat rises and gets underneath the fat cells, including cellulite. It now heats the body, including the ligaments and joints as it begins to break down the body fat and release the fat stored and toxins into the blood stream and sweat glands for removal from your body. It jump starts metabolism, breaks down the body fat and releases it back into the bloodstream for the body to use up as energy.

Hydration is important. We recommend that you drink water, before, during and after your session. The process continues to work on your body for up to 48 hours after the session. Continue the hydration process during that time to assist your body in flushing the toxins.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take?

After wrapping you will be lying on the bed for approximately 45 minutes. Allow one hour for your initial visit to allow yourself time for completing paperwork and measuring.

Am I committed to more than just my initial session?

No, the number of times you return is completely up to you. We do highly recommend a series of wraps for maximum benefit.

Clients doing an intensive series (that is 3 or more wraps,  2 to 3 days apart), get measured at their 3rd, 5th, 7th and 10th wrap.

I don’t want to lose in my legs or arms. Do we need to wrap that area?

The application works best if we wrap each location that is intended – that being each upper thigh, hip and butt area, stomach and abdomen, as well as each upper arm.

How long will it take before I see results?

Immediately. Most people want measurements taken before and after to see their immediate results. You will also immediately feel very relaxed.

How long will the inches stay off?

That depends on each and every one’s life style. Your metabolism will be kicked up during the process so if you continue with any physical activity, it is an unbelievable accompaniment. It relates to being on a diet and losing 10 pounds. If you go out to celebrate the fact you lost 10 pounds by eating, it defeats the whole purpose.

How frequently should I come back?

Totally up to you and whatever schedule you put yourself on. Also it depends on what you hope to achieve, your goal in experiencing the body wrap. A client who is physically active can have sessions up to 2 days apart. If physically inactive, then a minimum of 3 days between sessions is recommended.

Does it hurt or is it uncomfortable?

It is one of the most relaxing experiences you will encounter. The heat doesn't get hot until the last 15-20 minutes and even then it is relaxing. Most people doze off to sleep.

Are there things I should or should not do after the session?

You can continue to experience the balance of your day like you would any other day.

What should I wear?

You can be wrapped in cotton clothes – long pants and long sleeves like cotton sweats, or long sleeve cotton tee. You will want to change into “dry” clothes before you leave.

Can any age benefit from the wrap?

Yes. Those younger than 18 must have a parent or guardian with them for signature.

How much does it cost?

The Infrared Body Wrap is $125 per session. Call (678) 293-2639 to check for specials and packages that change from time to time.
